Overall league Summary

With two thirds of the seasons fixtures played by most teams the Premier Division leaders are Burnley Boys Club who look favourites to retain the title. East Lancs 1st are well set in the runners up spot currently with just one loss. Hyndburn TTC ‘A’ & The Lions below them have their work cut out to avoid relegation.

In Division One East Lancs 2nd are going strong on top and look good for the title. Brierfield are probably a safe bet for the runner up spot to clinch the other promotion slot once they catch up with missed fixtures. Brierfield ‘B’ are on course for dropping in the opposite direction and are likely to be joined by Tackyfire who are still looking for their first win of the season.

Old Masters ‘A’ are racing ahead now towards the Second Division title, with the second promotion place a close call at present between second place Rolling Doals & Third placed Whalley Hawks. KSB ‘D’ are likely to rise above their current second from bottom spot when games are caught up with to leave Whalley Kites & Slayers in the drop zone.

In Division Three Doals Marauders in 3rd place and the only unbeaten team left in the whole of the league, are favourite to win still but with player availability issues their lead could become whittled down by the end. Hyndburn TTC ‘C’ are at the present on top but I think they will be overtaken by KSB E in third at present as well as Marauders when catch up games are played.

Burnley Focus

Burnley Boys with Dave Kay & Andrea Harrison 3rd and 5th in the merit tables are helping the team to stay on course to retain the Premier title with two thirds of all fixtures played. In Division One the Brierfield teams have mixed fortunes with the ‘A’ team favourites to get promotion spurred on by merit topper Jack Keogh and David Eastwood 5th, however the ‘B’ team sit bottom. In Div two Adpak Aces sit 6th, and in Division Three the new best Centre Teams sit 4th & 7th .

Best Centre is open to new players and beginners to join their club on a Monday night (Contact Darren Wright for more info on 07736473609)

Rossendale Focus

The highest placed Rossendale based team is Ramsbottom Town ‘A’ going well in 3rd in the premier division and the other Rossendale based premier team is KSB ‘A’ who are just above the drop zone in 8th place and hoping they can hold on to Premier status. In Division One KSB ‘A’ are in a credible 3rd place & Ramsbottom Town B are playing well in 6th place. In Division Two Bacup team Rolling Doals are second and hoping they can gain promotion if Neil Hepworth top of the merit and Ian Smith (4th) maintain their form, and in 4th place are KSB ‘C’. KSB ‘D’ are second to bottom but should get to safety when games are caught up with. In Division Three two Rossendale teams look favourites for promotion, the unbeaten Doals Marauders with Roman M & Dave Greenwood top of the merits, and the family Milnes team KSB ‘E’ chasing all the way. KSB F, are 5th but boast 3rd placed merit player Will Cooper and Doals Vikings are 6th.

For info of how to start playing TT in Rossendale contact Ramsbottom’s Bryan Edwards on 01617975082, or Doals (Bacup) Neil Hepworth on 07873834942, or KSB (Rawtenstall) Trevor Elkington on 07981387755.
