Hyndburn Leisure Centre back to normal

East Lancashire Table Tennis League

Following a meeting with the Hyndburn Leisure Trust I can confirm that Table Tennis is to resume its normal schedule of activities at the Hyndburn Leisure Centre (Table Tennis Centre).

The times that are available for practice are as follows

Daytime

Monday 10 am to 12 Midday

Thursday 10 am to 12 Midday

Saturday 10 am to 12 Midday.

Evening

Monday to Thursday 7 pm to 10pm

Friday Junior Coaching only

It is at these time that the £4 practice fee is to be paid in the Honesty Box provided. These fees go directly to the League.

Table Tennis is available at other times and must be paid to the Leisure Centre and their schedule of fees apply

It is vitally important that the use of the Leisure Centre is maximised for Table Tennis particularly after the pandemic which has prevented both practice and match play for such a long time.

The Hyndburn Leisure Trust has also lost money as a consequence and are seeking to find ways to improve their revenue streams to make up for any losses incurred.

So the saying is “use it or lose it”

The committee is keen to resume play and welcome all players. Outstanding events from Season 2019 2020 will be organised e.g Fred Holden Semi Final, etc

At some point Mike Turner (Fixtures Secretary) will be contacting you requesting your entry to the League to initiate the formation process.

Please pass on this information to anyone who is interested.  I do not have everyone’s email to contact them directly

I look forward to seeing you all back playing Table Tennis.

Regards

Harry Rawcliffe
