Minutes of the last meeting were read and passed
- Ged sadly informed us that John Leech had passed away. He will be sorely missed by all of us. It was agreed a new tournament would be run in honour of his memory. Details will be discussed at the next meeting. A vote of thanks was passed for the sterling work of Mike Turner and Martin Wyatt in preparing for the new season. M.Moir is still awaiting delivery of new tables as the supplier has run out of stock.
Ged said all the centre lights have now been replaced. Ged also said help would be neededin preparing the centre for outside T.T. events.
- Fred said that two teams have not yet paid and he will chase them up. He has delivered, on behalf of the league, a bouquet of flowers to the Wyatt family for all their help in preparing the new handbook.
- M.T. thanked M.W. for his help in the new season’s preparation. In the first week only 50% of the matches were played due to the centre floor being dangerously wet.
- The draw was made for the F. Holden cup and details will be sent to secretaries and put on the club notice board. Handicap sheets will be sent out courtesy of G.S.
- N.H. will contact newspapers for their opinion on the best format for match reports.
A.O.B. M.S. had questions re-players going up or down a division. Ged answered to his satisfaction. C. Dale played for a team in the premier division while not registered. It was agreed that any points won will be deducted.
